ABC Pro Inventory

Adapted from the ABC Scan software platform, ABC Pro Inventory utilizes many of the same features of ABC Scan (i.e. reporting structure, data entry field and screen layout) but with one Key change. ABC Pro Inventory actually uses two key fields for database management instead of the one key field used in ABC Scan. This single change drastically transforms the product from a “Snapshot” of inventory levels of individual locations to a dynamic and fluid accounting for inventory across several locations real-time.

Created for Users needing a more robust solution than the product offering of ABC Basic Inventory, ABC Pro Inventory is perfect for small to medium-sized businesses looking for a quality, reliable inventory accounting product that is very competitively priced and highly customizable.

The two key fields employed that will enable this change are the Item Number field and the Location field. With both fields acting as keys, an item with the same part number can exist in two different locations. With only one key field, this item would need to be unique to every location.

Another feature of ABC Pro Inventory is the “Reconciliation” function. The handheld will keep a running total of all items to be scanned in a particular location. When the User has completed scanning a particular location the handheld prompts the User to designate an outcome for those products that are supposed to be at that location that have yet to be scanned. Either they were missed and need to be scanned, have moved and need to be marked as such, or are out-of-stock and need to be marked as “0” so reordering can occur.

• Palm OS 3.0 or higher with the Palm Desktop 3.0 or higher
• Palm requires 2 Megs of RAM minimum, although 8 Megs is recommended for large databases

NOTE: Please set your “Desktop Resolution” to 1024 x 768 or higher. While the software will work at lower resolutions it will require the operator to use the scroll bars more then necessary.
