The Motorola EWB100 Push-to-Talk Wireless LAN is a convenient and cost-effective communications solution for a mobile workforce. This compact and lightweight device provides high quality PTT (push-to-talk) voice connectivity to mobile personnel over the enterprise WLAN (wireless local area network). The EWB100 is a voice over wireless LAN (VoWLAN) device that enhances productivity and streamlines task management because it allows personnel to address issues, ask or answer questions, receive a new task, or report the completion of a task — all on the spot.

Since it works over the enterprise WLAN, the EWB100 is IP addressable and can thus be integrated with IP-based applications. The proven voice technology from Motorola has carried over to the EWB100, which offers high quality specifications for volume, echo and noise suppression, and battery life. In addition, the EWB100 features the TEAM Express voice client, which allows for instant interoperability with other TEAM Express devices, such as Motorola voice-enabled mobile computers, TEAM VoWLAN devices, and two-way radios (requires TEAM Radio Link Solution). The interoperability with multiple devices extends both communications and your return on investment (ROI).

Although it's possible to integrate the EWB100 with your PBX telephone system, this is not a requirement; the EWB100 can easily be integrated with your existing WLAN infrastructure without servers or PBX hardware. The ease of deployment creates a cost-effective communications solution for up to 32 talk groups.
