American Barcode and RFID evolves with technology and abbreviates it name to AB&R

Phoenix, August 25, 2011 – American Barcode and RFID Inc. announced today that the Company’s stakeholders and board of directors approved a name change to AB&R.  The goal of the name change is to better reflect the company’s broader product and service offerings and to evolve with the technology that has been its foundation for over 30 years.

“AB&R more accurately reflects the transformation of our business in recent years from a product specialist in bar code and radio frequency identification technology (RFID) to an organization that today provides comprehensive solutions that identify, track, and manage everything of value to a business in a mobile world,” said Michael Stryczek, Chief Executive Officer.  “Since 1980, we have continuously evolved to better serve our clients’ automatic identification and data collection (AIDC) needs by expanding our expertise in the areas of wireless LAN installations as well as a variety of software applications and managed services.”

“Because we provide a compliment of AIDC products, software and professional services AB&R is better able to serve clients across many vertical markets from manufacturing, distribution, warehousing and transportation to hospitality, financial services and healthcare” explained Dino Farfante, President and Chief Operating Officer. “While our company name is changing, all the core elements of our organization’s values will remain the same, namely AB&R will continue to ensure our clients success by providing them with a superior level of service,” promises Farfante.
