Hardware Maintenance Agreements

If you had decided against extended warranty, and need repair services, we offer time and materials repairs as well as maintenance agreements after the warranty period has expired.

The service division at AB&R has 30 years of experience with AIDC equipment, and 50+ years of experience in electronics repair. We have certified training certificates from manufacturers such as Motorola, Symbol, PSC, Zebra, Datamax, Sato, TEC and many others.

If you have a piece of equipment not working properly and not under warranty from the manufacturer we can help. We offer time and materials repairs for all the equipment we sell and also offer maintenance agreements to protect your equipment moving forward.

Time and materials repairs are repairs done as the issue arises. Each device failure is a one off repair. We create an Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number when you contact us, and track the repair with this unique number. We quote you for the labor and parts that the repair requires. Once the quote is approved, we complete the repair and get your device back to you as quickly as possible.

You can purchase maintenance agreements from us to cover your entire fleet of devices or a single device. In most cases we ask that the device(s) are in proper working order before putting them under an agreement. We have standard agreements for most devices and we can also customize an agreement if you have special requirements. The process is similar to time and materials in the way that we create an RMA to track the repair, the difference being there will not be a quoting process.

We also have hot spare or hot swap agreements, in which the service team holds a percentage of the population of your devices and when a device in your possession goes down we create an RMA and ship out a good, configured unit to your location. This type of agreement is also highly customizable.
