ABC Scan Inspections

Inspection Overview

  • The location is named location and the items are known as stops (inspection stops).
  • Adding new locations or inspection points is turned off; therefore, a user cannot add new inspection points or locations on the handheld.  They must be entered on the PC and then sync’d to the handheld.  This setting cannot be overwritten.
  • Signature capture is not part of the application.
  • The inventory screen guides the user through the inspection process.  Unlike the Rounds application, the user must follow the route in stop order.  In fact, the inventory screen list only the next stop versus all stops for the selected location.  The user must finish the inspection for the current stop before they can see the next stop.
  • The details screen (for an inspection point) displays the following information about the inspection point.  Note:  All fields can be updated except the inspection instructions and stop number fields.
  1. Current value entered along with the last inspection date.
  2. Status
  3. Temp1 (used to enter or verify a measurement captured during inspection)
  4. Temp2 (used to enter or verify a measurement captured during inspection
  5. Temp3 (used to enter or verify a measurement captured during inspection)
  6. Stop number (the order of stops during the inspection)
  7. Inspection instructions
  8. Additional Inspection instructions
  9. Low and high range for validating the inspection value.
The Details screen is displayed after the stop (inspection point) is entered.  If the user wants to revise the quantity value they manually open this form.
